Pantry Staple: Spice Mixes (Emeril's Baby Bam Seasoning)

Thanks to Lynn's Kitchen Adventure's for use of the image!
Sorry for the lack of posts the last little bit folks.  My son had patch testing done (oats, lanolin and some chemical additives are now added onto his list of allergies.  Ugh) and then I had a death in the family...so it's easy to say that I've had a full plate here the last little bit.

Anyway, onto the cooking right?

I loved this recipe with garlic in it (the original recipe is all over the web honestly) when I ran into it on Lynn's Kitchen Adventures a while back, so I was just crushed when the garlic allergy came back.  But, not to be dissuaded, I took out the garlic, tweaked the seasoning a bit and it still tastes darn tasty!  This stuff works great on pork, chicken, fish...pretty much anything you can think of.

Emeril’s (not) Baby Bam Seasoning

  • 3 tablespoons paprika
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley
  • 4 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
Mix (and store) in an airtight container.  And add to your favorite meat for seasoning (I've even used it to add some flavor to home made stock and it worked pretty well!).

Enjoy!
